Five-star LSU commit Bryce Underwood holds a remarkable 40-2 record as a starter (per Sports Illustrated). The quarterback's tenure at Belleville High School has been highlighted by back-to-back state championships in his first two years.
On Friday night, Underwood achieved yet another milestone by breaking the Michigan high school football records for career passing and total touchdowns. In the game against Livonia Churchill, he scored six touchdowns, bringing his career total to 128 passing touchdowns and 152 total touchdowns.
These new records surpassed the previous marks set by Mason Gee-Montgomery with 124 passing touchdowns and Kevin Grady with 151 total touchdowns.
Underwood recorded his first touchdown on the opening play of the game, tied the total touchdown record just before halftime and scored another touchdown from midfield on the first play of the third quarter to break the record.
Michael Hart of New York held the national record with 204 touchdowns, a record set while leading Onondaga to three state championships. However, this record was later surpassed by Johnathan Gray from Texas, who scored 211 touchdowns while playing for Aledo High School in 2011.
