Andrew Babalola, a highly coveted five-star offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class, has been evaluating his top college choices, with Michigan emerging as a strong contender. His visit to Ann Arbor left a significant impression, especially under the guidance of head coach Sherrone Moore.

Ranked as the fourth-best offensive tackle and 15th overall in the 2025 class, Babalola recently shared his thoughts on Michigan with On3’s Steve Wiltfong. He expressed excitement about the Wolverines' consistent performance and vision for the future.

"It was great in Ann Arbor this weekend," Babalola said. "What excites me about the program is the sustained success of the place, and the vision for the future. They have great development all around."

Michigan’s recent achievements include three consecutive victories over Ohio State and a national championship roster, accomplished with only one ESPN top-10 signing class from 2020-23. This consistent success is a major draw for Babalola.

During his visit, Babalola also evaluated how he would fit into Moore’s program:

"What stands out is just how I fit into the scheme, and the development of offensive linemen that enter the program."

The standout tackle from Overland Park (Kan.) Blue Valley Northwest has also visited Auburn, Stanford and Missouri recently, with Oklahoma slated for next weekend. He has been impressed by all the schools in his top five, noting that Michigan compares favorably with each of them.

"It stacks up well with the places I’ve been to. Every school so far has been great and pretty equal," he said.

Andrew Babalola is currently the top recruit in Kansas, ranked fourth among offensive tackles nationwide, and 20th overall by On3 Industry. With official visits to Auburn and Missouri completed, Michigan's strong showing this past weekend could play a pivotal role in his decision-making process.

Andrew Babalola was also impressed after Stanford visit

Andrew Babalola recently took his official visit to Stanford, marking his second trip after a positive experience in the spring with head coach Troy Taylor and his team. Reflecting on his weekend, Babalola shared with On3:

"I had a great time at Stanford this weekend. The big takeaways for me were seeing Coach Taylor’s vision for the program and the excitement and passion around Stanford football again. That was great."

Stanford faces stiff competition from other top programs such as Auburn, Michigan, Missouri and Oklahoma, all vying for Babalola's commitment. Babalola noted the strong connection he felt with the Stanford players and staff.

"What makes it a good fit I’d say is how well I meshed with the other players and how I fit into Coach Taylor’s offense," he said. "A lot of the guys on the team, especially the offensive linemen, share a lot of the goals and values I do, and that made it easy to connect."

Currently, Stanford boasts 15 commitments, with Babalola being one of their most coveted prospects.

"Coach Taylor and the staff are trying hard to get the program back going and they think I can be a huge part to help that," he added.

After visiting Michigan and Stanford this weekend, Andrew Babalola is slated to visit Oklahoma on June 21.
