Warren Brinson, standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing 310 pounds, capped off an exceptional five-year stint with the Bulldogs. He was a vital part of Georgia’s historic back-to-back national championships and two SEC title victories.
Throughout 70 games, Brinson consistently performed well, amassing 14 tackles for loss, six sacks, and a fumble recovery. He began at Daffin Park and Savannah Christian Preparatory School, followed by his time at IMG Academy, which paved the way to Georgia.
Brinson’s contributions were particularly pivotal during the 2023 and 2024 seasons when he helped Georgia secure the SEC Championship with a critical win over Texas. His presence on the defensive front was a cornerstone of the Bulldogs’ success, making his departure bittersweet for Dawg Nation.
Elijah Griffin headlined Georgia’s 2025 class with commitment to development and legacy
The Georgia Bulldogs scored big in their 2025 recruiting class, particularly on the defensive line, securing commitments from five-star talents Elijah Griffin, Isaiah Gibson and Zayden Walker.
Elijah Griffin, a top-five recruit nationally, emerged as the centerpiece of the class. His decision to commit to Georgia wasn’t solely based on football.
“Honestly, the reason I chose the University of Georgia wasn’t because of the football aspect, it was the development key. Me as a man and as a person, you know, that’s what played a key role into my decision.
“You know, he’s done it. He sent guys to the next level. And, you know, those guys are doing great. Devonte Wyatt, Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, you know, all those guys, they’re doing phenomenal in the NFL. So to have that coach to coach you, and I mean, that just speaks proof is in the pudding. So that’s pretty much it.”
Coach Kirby Smart played a significant role in Griffin’s recruitment, building a relationship that began when Griffin was just in eighth grade.
“Coach Smart (was with me) throughout this whole process” Griffin said. “It all kind of started in eighth grade for me. You know, throughout this process, he has not changed.
"He has been the same person as he was in eighth grade up to now. You know, he’s always told me to just keep the main thing the main thing. Focus and you could do anything you put your mind to.”
Elijah Griffin’s high school performance solidifies his reputation as a generational talent. Over his varsity career, he recorded 301 total tackles, including 170 solo, and averaged 6.5 tackles per game.
His dominance on the defensive front is evident in his staggering 44 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble.
