Five-star women’s basketball prospect Jerzy Robinson praised University of North Carolina guard Lanie Grant after the 5-foot-9 freshman’s impressive performance for the Tar Heels on Thursday night.

Grant showcased her skills as the North Carolina women’s basketball team defeated the Florida Gators 77-57 in an NCAA matchup at Spectrum Center. The freshman guard contributed 13 points and four rebounds in the win.

Following the win, Grant’s performance caught the attention of Robinson, who reacted to the Tar Heels guard's highlight reel by resharing a WSlam post on her Instagram story with a two-word caption:

"Oh yeahhhhhh."

Grant followed that performance with 15 points and four rebounds as the Tar Heels defeated Norfolk State.

As for Robinson, she continues to excel in high school basketball while preparing to make an impact at the college level. The 6-foot-1 combo guard from the class of 2026 has already received offers from Grand Canyon, Arizona, Arizona State, Texas A&M and Alabama.

Jerzy Robinson’s profile on the rise

Although it remains unclear where Robinson will play college basketball, the No. 1 prospect in the class of 2026 has expressed interest in schools that match her ambitions to win championships and support her career on and off the court.

According to On3, Robinson has her eyes on UConn, South Carolina and LSU, although she cannot take official visits yet. The Phoenix native is expected to be highly sought after, as she is already one of the most popular high school basketball players in the country.

Robinson has over 60,000 followers on Instagram and signed an NIL deal with Nike at age 15. She is represented by Klutch Sports Group, founded by LeBron James and Rich Paul.

On the court, Robinson averaged 22 points and 8.2 rebounds per game on 62% shooting during her freshman year at Desert Vista High School in Phoenix.

Beyond high school, Robinson led Team USA to a gold medal at the 2023 FIBA Americas U16 Championship, earning MVP honors as the youngest player to win the award in the competition’s history.
