Bryce James, son of LeBron James, is finally back in action and playing with his teammates at Sierra Canyon. The team took on the Dougherty Valley Wildcats on Saturday and won in a close game, 54-50.
However, 'Ball is Life' stated in its caption that the Trailblazers dominated their opponents despite the close final score.
"Sierra Canyon dominated last night and defeated Dougherty Valley 54-50 😤," said Ball is Life in the caption.
Because the game was much closer than what the page had described, fans flocked to the comments section to point out that a four-point win is not exactly a "dominating" one.
"54-50 is not dominated, I’m not a hater. I'm just saying tho," one commenter pointed out.
"How is winning by 4 dominating?" Another commented.
"4 pt win is dominating? That’s crazy," added another commenter.
However, there were the usual critics and Sierra Canyon supporters in the comments section too, with one pointing out that Bryce James was featured in the cover but had no highlight. He did have a few though, and it was a corner three, as well as an assist during a fastbreak.
"on the cover w no highlights😭," one commenter noted.
"Them boys in for a rude awakening when they face Grayson out of Georgia lol human highlight Jr about to have a field day," claimed another commenter.
"Sierra Canyon showing everyone why they’re built different 🔥💪," commented one Sierra Canyon fan.
Bryce James returned for the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers on Dec. 21 against Milikan High School, which they won 87-33. He missed the start of the season but has since been playing. He also played during the team's 89-51 win over the Venice Gondoliers last Dec. 23.
Interesting matchups ahead for Bryce James and Sierra Canyon
The Trailblazers will be ending the year against Santa Barbara on Monday, though the team will still have some very big matchups come 2025. The first big one will be against No. 2-ranked 2026 prospect Tyran Stokes and the Notre Dame Knights. The game is scheduled to happen on Jan. 10.
The next big game on Sierra Canyon's calendar will be against the five-star 2026 prospect Caleb Holt and the Grayson Rams on Jan. 18. After that will be another big showdown, and it will be against four-star Duke commit Nikolas Khamenia and the 15-1 Harvard-Westlake Wolverines.
