Ace Bailey is one of Rutgers' biggest stars and has already made a significant impact during his freshman year in college. How good was he in high school, though? Actually, he was exceptional and was the No. 2 ranked prospect from the Class of 2024 when he played for McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia.

The Rutgers small forward grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but moved to Powder Springs after his freshman year of high school. He gained notoriety during his junior year at McEachern, averaging 22 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, and four blocks per contest.

By the time he entered his senior year, he was already ranked the No. 2 overall prospect from the Class of 2024 by 247Sports. That year, he averaged 32.5 points, 15.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.4 blocks and attracted the attention of many of the country's top colleges and universities.

He had offers to play for the likes of Texas, Oregon, Ohio State, Kentucky, and Kansas but ultimately chose to go with Rutgers and is the school's highest-ranking recruit in the modern recruitment era so far. He was also selected to play in the 2024 McDonald's All-American Game, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoops Summit, among many other honors.

As for the school Ace Bailey went to, he ended his senior year at McEachern High School with a 26-6 record and a Class A State title in Georgia.

Ace Bailey bounces back from injury

Ace Bailey missed the start of the season for Rutgers but has since bounced back with big games against No. 9 ranked Alabama and No. 20 ranked Texas A&M.

Alabama may have won the contest against Ace Bailey and the Rutgers last November 27, but the former No. 2 prospect had a big game, with 22 points on 50% shooting. He also had four rebounds to add to his one assist.

The 6'10" Bailey had an even better game against Texas A&M, as he had a double-double performance. Ace Bailey scored a game-high 24 points and ten rebounds, along with one assist and two steals. He also had a 50% shooting night during that December 1 game, which Rutgers also lost 77-81.

The Scarlet Knights (5-4) are on a bit of a losing streak, losing 66-80 to Ohio State in their most recent game, with Bailey only having 12 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one block.
