"Ain't no such thing as hurt! Im ready fa bama." Keelon Russell wrote in his Instagram Story's caption.

During the game, Russell reportedly twisted his right ankle underneath himself as he was trying to avoid getting sacked by Ole Miss commit JaReylan McCoy. He tried to walk it off but had to lie down on the field until two teammates helped him walk. He was later seen on the sidelines icing his right ankle.

However, Rivals caught up with him on Friday, and he assured fans that he is ready to compete and that his right ankle is good to go.

"I'm feeling real good, you know, even if I couldn't finish the game, feelin real good," he said.

Even though the five-star quarterback sat out the rest of the game after apparently twisting his right ankle, his team, Team Icon, went away with the big 31–19 victory over Team Unstoppable, with his Duncanville teammate, Oregon commit Dakorien Moore being named the MVP of the game.

Team Unstoppable had an 8–6 lead at one point, but Russel got his team back, leading it to a 22–8 lead before he got hurt. One of his biggest highlights included a touchdown pass to Naeshaun Montgomery of Miami Central, a Florida commit.

Russel reportedly told one of the coaches he could get back and play, but his request was denied to avoid further injury.

Analyst predicts Keelon Russell could win the Heisman Trophy

While he has not played any college games yet, Rivals had a bold prediction for Keel Russell once he gets to Alabama. The sports website's national recruiting analyst, Sam Spiegelman, predicted that he could win the most prestigious individual award in college football, the Heisman Trophy.

The analyst said that Russell has already proven he can win championships, leading Duncanville to two state championships and a semifinal appearance as a senior. He also said Russell's throw is accurate and he is good at maneuvering within and outside the pocket and taking over big games.
