The Hoophall Classic is considered one of the most prestigious high school basketball events in the country, with some of the best teams competing against one another. Coming with those top schools are, of course, the top players, who would want to showcase their talents in front of a large stage.
The event will feature both boys' basketball and girls' basketball, with some of the best players from both divisions expected to play. For the boys' division, eight of the Top 10 from ESPN's Top 100 are competing during the event.
Five boys' basketball players to look out for during this year's Spalding Hoophall Classic
Kiyan Anthony
Kiyan Anthony may not be in the Top 10 of ESPN's Top 100, but the four-star Syracuse commit is due for an explosion after missing many games due to injury.
His team, Long Island Lutheran, take on Arizona powerhouse Arizona Compass Prep on Jan 19, and the Indiana powerhouse LaLumiere the next day. Both are strong teams, and Anthony, a prolific scorer, is expected to play with a chip on his shoulder, as he has something to prove after his injury.
Koa Peat
Koa Peat and Gilbert High School only have one game to play during the Spalding Hoophall Classic, but it will be a big one.
Peat has led his school to be one of the best teams not just in Arizona, but in the country. But standing in their way is Miami, Florida's Christopher Columbus High School on Monday, Jan. 20.
Darryn Peterson
No. 3 ranked 2025 prospect Darryn Peterson has beaten the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked players from his class earlier this season.
During the Spalding Hoophall Classic, Peterson and Prolific Prep will face off against No. 4 ranked Nate Ament and the Highland High School Hawks on Sunday, Jan. 19.
Cameron Boozer
Cameron Boozer and his twin brother, Cayden, will bring much fire power to the Spalding Hoophall Classic, with Christopher Columbus High School playing two games; against Tyran Stokes and Notre Dame on Jan. 18, and Koa Peat and Perry on Jan. 20.
AJ Dybantsa
AJ Dybantsa and Utah Prep have proven that they have one of the best teams in the country.
Dybantsa and four-star JJ Mandaquit make quite the dynamic duo. They will only have one game at the event, and it will be against defending national champions Montverde Academy Eagles.
