Da Silva Costa will now strengthen Alabama coach Kristy Curry's 2025 class. The Swedish national also had offers from North Carolina, Florida State and Miami.

As to why she picked the Crimson Tide over other programs, the 6-foot-3 forward attributed their playstyle to being the biggest motivator.

“I believe my versatility can be a lot of help—and just my drive,” Da Silva Costa told On3. “I think they play with a really good pace, and I think that looking at some of their players that they have now that are kind of similar to me will be like a good way for me to also kind of follow.”

How will Lourdes Da Silva Costa fit in with Kristy Curry-led Crimson Tide?

Besides, at the 2022 FIBA U16 Women’s European Championship Division B, Lourdes Da Silva Costa stood out with her impressive average of 9.3 points, 11.0 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. It showcases her dominance on the court and highlights her playmaking abilities.
