Sierra Canyon's 64-42 win over Houston High School on Saturday was its second straight victory of the new year. However, instead of appreciating this dominant victory, some fans have chosen to look the other way, berating LeBron James' son, Bryce James.

In an Instagram post shared by @ballislife on Sunday, fans got to see a few highlights of the match in a short video clip. The carousel post also included a photo collage of Bryce James alongside Rutgers commit Chris Nwuli, who won the game's MVP award.

Bryce's presence in the post generated some unpleasant reactions and comments, many of which were jabs at his limited impact on the game.

"Another 3 point masterclass from Bryce," one fan said sarcastically.
"Once again, Bryce with less than 5," another said.
"Bryce was in Memphis today??👀" another fan said, sarcastically doubting Bryce's presence in the game.

Some comments were even referencing Bryce's recent commitment to Arizona, with insinuations that he is not deserving of it:

"So if Bryce who scores 2 pts a game goes to Arizona.. Where is #1 going??" one fan said.
"Just score 3 points lmao you can get an offer from Arizona kids," another fan said sarcastically.
"Bryce like the 3rd 4th option still gone get to the league and get drafted by the Lakers😂," another said.

So far this season, Bryce James has only featured in seven games for the Trailblazers, coming off the bench in each one. He was out for the first nine games of the season due to injury and is now just finding his footing with the team.

"He's just kinda nondescript": Basketball Insider Jeff Goodman Expresses Concerns About LeBron James' Son Bryce James' Recruitment

Not everyone welcomed the news of LeBron James' son Bryce James' commitment to Arizona with open arms. Some believed that the Wildcats' offer and recruitment were not influenced by the player's quality or performance but rather by the weight of his father's name.

On Jan. 2, popular basketball insider Jeff Goodman didn't hold back when sharing his thoughts on the recruitment:

"I was shocked. I'm an Arizona grad, number one. I've seen Bryce James play plenty, plenty over the last few years on the circuit. Here are his stats, guys. And again, he's 6-foot-6. He is LeBron's younger son, plays for Sierra Canyon. He averaged 5.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in five Peach Jam games earlier this summer in July. Was 3-for-17 from three.
"He's just kind of nondescript. But I think one of the key reasons here that he ended up at Arizona and Arizona takes him is because Rich Paul, who represents him. Obviously, Rich Paul is LeBron's buddy for Klutch (Sports)."

Goodman's comments further fuel the ongoing controversy about Bryce's commitment to Arizona. The Sierra Canyon star will have to start making much more of an impact on the court if he wants to silence his critics.
