Alec Blair, the two-sport star, gained the attention of basketball fans for peculiar reasons. On Friday, Ballislife’s Instagram account posted Blair's photo and clips of Blair’s skills while playing against the Duncanville Panthers.
“WHO DOES HE REMIND YOU OF?” Ballislife asked.
Fans in comments had varied replies to the question.
“The easy answer is Flagg 🤣,” a fan said.
“Larry Bird,” another fan stated.
The list of players who seemingly resembled Blair only got longer. Several basketball players were mentioned, but the names were not restricted to just basketball players.
“Chase Budinger 🙌,” a user commented.
“David Lee,” another wrote.
“Left handed Tyler hansbrough,” another fan commented.
Among the names, former basketball stars and role players were mentioned. A user commented in light humor:
“That s Luigi Mangione’s brother, Mario,” wrote a user.
On Thursday, Blair, the four-star small forward, helped De La Salle Spartans extend their undefeated streak to 13-0 and remain the strongest contenders of the season with a 65-62 victory over the Duncanville Panthers. His impressive versatility and leadership were not left unseen. Matt Barnes, the former NBA forward, took on Instagram to comment on Blair’s skills.
“He’s tough. Saw him play in person. I was very impressed," Barnes said.
