Five-star prospect Nate Ament's Highland Hawks defeated Tajh Ariza's Westchester Comets 62-40 on Saturday. The two teams met during the semi-final round of the Coby White boys' bracket of the John Wall Invitational and it came with a lot of hype. Arkansas coach John Calipari himself came down to watch, and so did John Wall.

Calipari's visit could be to scout Tajh Ariza and make him commit to the Razorbacks. USC is the favorite to land the son of former LA Lakers star Trevor Ariza, but a visit from Calipari may turn things around.

Nate Ament may go to Duke and possibly team up with the Boozer Twins over at Durham. The five-star small forward has already visited Durham twice, making the school the favorite to recruit him. Should he sign with the Blue Devils, Duke will not just have the No. 2 ranked recruit in Cameron Boozer, but also the No. 4 in Ament.

Nate Ament was named player of the game vs. Tajh Ariza and Westchester

During the Highland vs. Westchester game at the John Wall Invitational, Nate Ament was named the player of the game. The five-star small forward had a double-double performance with 12 points and 13 rebounds. He also added six assists in that win.

Highland has made the final of the Coby White bracket. Meanwhile, Ament and crew will face John Marshall next, scheduled for Monday.

John Marshall defeated Southern Durham in the semi-final, 82-68. This also means that Westchester will take on Southern Durham next for the third-place spot.

Nate Ament and the Highland Hawks will close out 2024 against John Marshall, with their first game of 2025 not happening until Jan. 5. against William Penn Charter. They do have a big matchup lined up for January though, and it will be against Prolific Prep, led by No. 3 ranked Kansas commit, Darryn Peterson.
