Elijah Williams, son of the former NBA Coach of the Year Monty Williams, is the No. 22 overall recruit in the Class of 2026. With plenty of offers from top programs across the nation, Williams has narrowed down the list to seven programs, according to On3's Joe Tipton.

His final seven are Arkansas, Alabama, Baylor, Texas, Kansas, Notre Dame and Arizona.

"2026 Top-25 recruit Elijah Williams tells me he hears from these schools the most frequently (in no particular order): Arkansas, Alabama, Baylor, Texas, Kansas, Notre Dame, and Arizona. The 6-6 Small Forward is the son of former NBA coach Monty Williams," Tipton tweeted on Monday.

Monty has coached the San Antonio Spurs, Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, Oklahoma City Thunder, Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons.

He took on the coaching position at his sons Elijah and Micah Williams' high school TMI Episcopal (San Antonio, Texas) on Oct. 20 after being fired by the Pistons.

Elijah is the No. 9 small forward in his class and the No. 1 prospect in Texas. He is ranked No. 24 in the 2026 ESPN 60 recruiting database with an 89 Scout Grade.

He has received offers from Arizona State, Arizona, Oregon, USC, Michigan, Georgetown, California, Rutgers, Missouri, Oregon, BYU, USC, Michigan State, LSU and Pittsburgh.

Last season, Williams played 18 games, including a performance where he recorded 28 points, 19 rebounds, six assists, two steals and three blocks.

Elijah Williams talks about moving to Texas

Elijah Williams played for Scottsdale Christian Academy (Arizona) in 2022, Brother Rice (Michigan) in 2023 and transferred to TMI Episcopal last year. While speaking to 247Sports, he talked about moving to Texas, calling it a "welcoming state:"

"I love Texas because it is a very welcoming state," Williams said in September. "We have lived here before and it has been a great transition for my family and I. Basketball has been great and I am looking forward to the season."

According to 247Sports, Williams received his first offers from the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Washington Huskies and Missouri Tigers on Oct. 9, 2022. He received four more in 2023: the Arizona Wildcats on June 1 and the Oregon Ducks, Temple Owls and California Golden Bears on July 4.
