California's Chatsworth High School extended its undefeated run at 4-0, and leading the team is none other than five-star 2026 prospect Alijah Arenas. Former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas was seen coaching his son when the team knocked off Etiwanda last Sunday.
The influence of his father in Alijah's playstyle can be seen, and fans have noticed. He is even wearing Agent Zero's signature jersey number, 0.
"As of today and I could be wrong unless someone tell me, as far as father/son he’s the best I seen. No other NBA guys kid can touch him. Carmelo son dope but lil Arenas would embarrass him," replied one fan.
"You def can tell who son he is 🔥🔥🔥," commented another.
"My lord. Gilbert created a monstar," another person noted.
Meanwhile, others were just praising Alijah Arenas as a player and marveling at how far he has gotten in just his third year of high school basketball.
"It’s like the court is too small, game is easy for this kid…" one commenter said.
"He’ll be better than pops," another commenter claimed.
"My favorite HS player right now.. If his jumper falling. Literally unstoppable. 💯‼️💯," said another fan.
Alijah Arenas is ranked the No. 4 overall prospect from the Class of 2026 by the On3 Industry Ranking, which also ranks him as the No. 2 shooting guard and the No. 3 player in California.
Alijah Arenas, Chatsworth High School off to a hot start
Chatsworth began its 2024-2025 basketball season at home against the Verdugo Hills Dons. Alijah Arenas had a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds in that game, which was played last Nov. 15. The final score was 79-49.
Their next game was a lot closer, as Westchester Senior, led by fellow five-star Tajh Ariza, son of former NBA star Trevor Ariza, gave the Chancellors a close fight. The two NBA sons duked it out but Chatsworth came away with a close 59-55 win.
Their game against Agoura last November 2 was a 79-57 victory, but Etiwanda provided the Chancellors with a more difficult challenge, with the final score of 60-54. Chatsworth is not anticipated to play any more games in November; their next game is against Crenshaw on December 5.
