Jason Crowe Jr., son of former professional basketball player Jason Crowe, showed why he is the No. 8 overall prospect from the class of 2026 when his team, the Inglewood Sentinels, defeated Alijah Arenas and the Chatsworth Chancellors 88-84 on Friday. The five-star combo guard exploded with 55 points, carrying his team to a close victory.

The showdown between the two stars has gotten many fans talking and praising both Crowe and Arenas for their performances. Both players combined for 89 points, with Arenas scoring 34 as Chatsworth suffered its second defeat of the season.

"At what point does alijah say 'that’s enough points' and goes to lock bro up?😂," one commenter asked.
"Crowe Jr. is a problem wait til he get to college 🔥," another fan commented.
"Folks gonna stop sleeping on @jasoncrowejr - dude is a BUCKET. Best scorer in the country," another fan pointed out.

Some also praised Arenas despite not scoring as much and his team losing the game, with others even saying that he is still the better prospect despite all of this.

"55 or 34 nah the arenas kid is a far better prospect trust it’s not even close if you know the game ,but the other kid has good scoring ability college maybe pro," one person noted.
"55 to 34, oh boy, these 2 cats are throw backs. No silly business, all buckets no jokes.," a fan said.
"Finally seen arenas look average. The perks of playing in the rich kid leagues. They get to duck smoke half the season. Both looked decent," another fan stated.

While Crowe is ranked No. 8 overall for the class of 2026, Arenas' rank is still not known despite being a five-star. His father, Gilbert Arenas, announced his reclassification to the class of 2025 earlier this month, and the rankings for 2025 have not been updated yet.

Jason Crowe Jr. scores 33 points vs. Canyon but still loses the game

The following game after their victory against Chatsworth, the Sentinels went up against the Canyon Comanches on Friday. It was another impressive performance for Crowe, who finished with 33 points, six rebounds, and five steals.

However, that performance was not enough, as Canyon defeated Inglewood 80-70. The loss now puts Inglewood to an 11-4 record for the season. Their next game will be against Rolling Hills Prep on Saturday.
