Auburn has secured five-star quarterback Deuce Knight in its 2025 class, but the Tigers are not slowing down in their efforts to secure future quarterback talent. On Wednesday night, Auburn quarterbacks coach Kent Austin visited Jared Curtis, the top-ranked quarterback in the 2026 class, for an in-home meeting.
This marked Curtis’ first in-home visit, and he shared the excitement on X, writing:
"First in home visit!! Thank you Coach Austin!!"
Curtis has had a remarkable junior season, and his list of achievements includes being named Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year, Tennessee Mr. Football and MaxPreps Player of the Year. He also led his team to a state championship, where he was named MVP. His 2024 stats include 3,584 total yards, 58 touchdowns and only three interceptions in 13 games.
Curtis was in attendance during Auburn's game against Vanderbilt on Nov. 2. Despite the Tigers' 17-7 loss in the game, Curtis raved about the experience, saying (via On3):
“I like Auburn. I like them a lot. I just want to come back up here a couple more times.”
Acquiring him in the 2026 class would be a big win for Auburn, which is one of the few schools Curtis is looking for besides USC, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Oregon and Ohio State.
Auburn has five committed players in the 2026 class, ranking No. 4 in the Southeastern Conference and No. 9 in the nation.
Jared Curtis also received visit from Georgia coaching staff
Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo made a visit to Jared Curtis on Thursday. He decommitted from the Bulldogs on Oct. 17 but has not ruled out a return to Athens.
Curtis was in attendance during Georgia's 31-17 win over Tennessee on Nov. 16.
“I’d say I’m still interested in Georgia as long as they are interested in me," Curtis told Dawg Nation following the trip. "Other places you go and you just feel it is not right and you don’t feel you should be there. But I go to Georgia and I get the family atmosphere and the family feeling from Coach [Mike] Bobo, Coach Gummy [Montgomery Van Gorder] and Coach [Kirby] Smart every time I go."
Georgia has four committed players in the 2026 class, ranking No. 6 in the Southeastern Conference. Securing Jared Curtis once again would provide a big boost to this cycle.
