Devin Jackson, the three-star recruit from the class of 2026, announced his commitment to the Florida Gators on Wednesday. Jackson is a 6-foot-2 safety from Winter Garden, Florida, and plays his high school football for The First Academy.

The safety had multiple visits to Florida and attended almost every home game last season. However, fans on social media had mixed reactions to the announcement.

Some fans were ecstatic with the news, while others were a little skeptical of the move.

"Definitely going to flip to a real school like South Carolina here in a few months," a fan wrote.

"LFG Gators!" one fan commented.
"Congrats young brother," another fan wrote.
"Great decision young man," one fan wrote.

The 6-foot-2 athlete from Florida received multiple offers from top schools in the nation. Jackson held offers from Georgia, LSU, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M, among others. However, the Gators were always the favorites to land the 2026 safety as the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gave them a 96.5% chance of landing Jackson.
