Alijah Arenas and the Chatsworth Chancellors are in Salem, Oregon for the Capitol City Classic. And while they are not in contention for the title anymore, the son of former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas still put on a show against the Wilsonville Wildcats with a triple-double performance of 25 points, 10 assists, and 10 rebounds.

It was a dominating performance for Arenas, who not only showed he could score and grab boards but also find the open man and pass. This performance has gotten many fans talking:

"Basketball looks way too easy for him," one commenter said.
"Everyone says I wanna see him play better competition and I get it but it isn't that the other teams aren't competitive he's just really that good," one commenter pointed out.
"I can’t wait to see what he look like 2 years from none," another commenter said.

However, some were asking for him to take on better competition. His school, Chatsworth, is a public school that does not have a national schedule and was mostly taking on local teams in Southern California. The tournament was one of the rare occasions the Chancellors played out of state.

"I want to see him vs better comp but still impressive nonetheless," said one commenter.
"do he play nationally ranked teams ?" asked another.
"Mom look it’s a NBA Caliber player playing future Walmart managers," one commenter joked.

Despite Arenas shining brightly in the tournament, Chatsworth suffered its first loss of the season at the Capitol City Classic. The team lost to Western Christian High School last Thursday, which failed even to make the semifinals. Chatsworth is still in contention for fifth place, however.

Alijah Arenas' 37-point performance was not enough to hand Chatsworth the victory

Because Charsworth was still undefeated at that time, and the team had a five-star in Alijah Arenas leading it, the Chancellors were initially believed to be one of the favorites to win the Capitol City Classic. However, an upset happened instead.

Gavin Hall and Lucas Zook each scored 23 points to hand the Western Christian Pioneers the big win over Chatsworth, overcoming a 37-29 deficit during the third quarter. Arenas had a monster 37-point game, though it was not enough to stop the surging Pioneers.

The Pioneers could not keep that momentum, though, as they fell the very next game, which was held on Friday. Their opponents, Oregon City, beat them 70-55 and eventually made it to the semifinals.
