With five-star shooting guard Meleek Thomas from Overtime Elite officially committing to John Calipari's Arkansas Razorbacks, a video of fellow five-star guard and Arkansas commit Darius Acuff surfaced.

Acuff was asked by a teammate who else the school was going to get, with the five-star point guard saying that he could not say yet. However, he did say that he and Meleek Thomas would form a powerful backcourt next year.

"I ain't going to say too much," he told his teammate. "But me and Meleek Thomas, best back court in college basketball next year. Stay tuned"

Darius Acuff, who plays for IMG Academy in Florida, is ranked No. 9 overall by the On3 Industry Ranking, as well as the No. 1 point guard in his class and the No. 2 Florida player.

Meanwhile, Meleek Thomas competes in Overtime Elite, an Atlanta-based semi-professional league. He is ranked No. 8 overall, No. 2 shooting guard in his class, and Georgia's No. 2 player. His team is the City Reapers.

Meleek Thomas talks about why he chose Arkansas and John Calipari

Soon after committing to John Calipari's program over at Arkansas, he spoke with ESPN about his decision.

"Everyone I spoke with was so positive on Coach Cal," he said, talking about Coach Calipari. "He has touched so many lives with his guys becoming NBA players and so many others. He and the staff stayed in contact with both me and my family the whole time. I am big on family, and Coach Cal is a warm-hearted person who built a great relationship with both me and my family."
"Their play style was a separating factor," he added. ""Coach Cal holds himself accountable and his players accountable. I am the type that wants to know the truth so I can learn and grow. They will have a lot of guys who can score, and I am comfortable coming in and playing defense right away."

The former Kentucky head coach was aggressive when recruiting Thomas, with the shooting guard being aware of the coach's history of producing NBA stars such as Devin Booker and Anthony Davis.
