Little Rock Parkview four-star safety Omarion Robinson committed to Oklahoma's 2025 class at the school gymnasium. He announced the news on Saturday, choosing the Sooners over Auburn, Arkansas, Baylor, Florida State, Oregon, Texas, Ole Miss, Southern Cal and Tennessee.

Robinson boasts more than two dozen offers and has been a prime target for the Sooners since receiving their offer in January 2023. Oklahoma secured Robinson's final official visit on June 21. Originally slated to visit Oregon on the same day, Robinson shifted his plans to prioritize the Sooners and ultimately committed to Brent Venables' program.

“It was a very tough decision, but me and my family feel great about Oklahoma," Robinson told On3. "The coaches, the culture, the location and a lot of things stood out to me.”

Safety coach Brandon Hall has been pursuing Robinson since his freshman year. Hall's dedication, combined with the strong sense of brotherhood at Oklahoma, played a crucial role in Robinson's decision.

“That brotherhood at Oklahoma is different. That is where I want to be. The coaches have great relationships with the players, the players are together in the locker room and everyone at Oklahoma cares for each other."

Omarion Robinson is the No. 21 commitment for the Sooners' 2025 class, joining an already phenomenal secondary lineup featuring blue-chip talents like Maliek Hawkins, Courtland Guillory and Trystan Haynes.

Alongside Marcus Wimberly, Robinson now becomes the second safety in the Sooners' 2025 class and one of the few elite talents to leave Arkansas for Oklahoma. Since 2002, only Stacey Wilkins and Tre Norwood have made a similar move from Arkansas to Oklahoma.

What does Omarion Robinson bring to the Sooners?

Omarion Robinson is a highly versatile defensive back who played a big role in leading Parkview to back-to-back state titles. His journey at Parkview began with an incredible debut late in the 2021 season as a freshman, where he made an immediate impact by scoring four touchdowns across defense and special teams.

During his junior year, Robinson recorded 42 tackles, 10 pass break-ups, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries, while also contributing on offense with 16 passes for 465 yards and three touchdowns, along with 119 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries.

According to On3, Omarion Robinson is the No. 5 overall recruit in Arkansas and the No. 59 safety in the nation. 247 Sports ranks him even higher, placing him as the No. 3 overall recruit in Arkansas and the No. 40 safety nationally.
