Four-star linebacker Zach Weeks committed to LSU on Monday. The 2026 class prospect will also reclassify to the 2025 class and will sign with Brian Kelly's program in nine days during the Early Signing Period on Dec. 4.
The Oconee County (Georgia) standout is the younger brother of current LSU linebackers West and Whit Weeks. West has taken a redshirt this season, and Whit has emerged as a key starter for the Tigers in 2024.
Zach’s commitment ensures all three brothers will suit up under Kelly and defensive coordinator Blake Baker next season.
Weeks has shined on both sides of the ball during his junior season. On offense, he has caught 12 passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns, while also contributing on defense by tallying 96 tackles, three sacks and an interception. He is the No. 332 overall prospect, the No. 35 linebacker in the 2025 cycle and the No. 45 recruit in Georgia, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
However, Zach Weeks is not the only LSU commit with strong family ties to the program. Brett Bordelon, a 2025 three-star offensive lineman, will join his brother, Bo Bordelon, on the Tigers’ roster next year.
Zach Weeks opens up about his bond with Blake Baker
Zach Weeks has received offers from Ole Miss, LSU, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, West Virginia, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia and Vanderbilt throughout his recruitment journey. But the decision to commit to LSU was an easy one, as he would get to play with his brothers.
Weeks has visited LSU for almost every home game this season and bonded well with Blake Baker.
"I probably have the best relationship with Coach Baker, he’s a great guy and I really like how he connects with me and everyone else outside of football," Weeks told Rivals. "Inside of football, he brings the energy and that’s what I’m really looking for in a coach."
LSU's 2025 class now has 26 committed players following Zach Weeks' commitment. The cycle ranks No. 6 in the nation and No. 5 in the Southeastern Conference. Weeks joins CJ Jimcoily, Keylan Moses, Jaiden Braker and Charles Ross in the linebacker room.
