2027 class quarterback Trae Taylor is rated as a four-star recruit, with many expecting him to reach five-star status as his high school career progresses. This weekend, Taylor will be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as the No. 13 LSU takes on No. 9 Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium.

The matchup is part of the long-standing Magnolia Bowl rivalry and promises to offer him with an exciting glimpse into the electric atmosphere of SEC football.

Trae Taylor announced his visit on X, tagging Kelly, alongside LSU offensive coordinator Joe Sloan, senior offensive analyst Todd Fitch and recruiting specialist Patrick Kelly:

"Will be back in Baton Rouge for a @LSUfootball game day visit. Excited to fully experience a game day atmosphere. Should be a great game @PlayBookAthlete @QBHitList @CoachBrianKelly @CoachJoeSloan @CoachTFitch @PatrickLKelly @MohrRecruiting @AllenTrieu @SWiltfong_ @adamgorney @TomLoy247 @GregSmithRivals @EDGYTIM @PrepRedzoneIL @LSUFBrecruiting @QuarterbackUniv @Bryan_Ault @BryceUnderwoo16."

LSU lost its season opener to the USC Trojans (27-20) on Sept. 1 before winning the next four games. Meanwhile, Ole Miss won its first four games before going down to Kentucky 20-17 on Sept. 28, but the Rebels again bounced back with a 27-3 win over South Carolina this past weekend.

Kelly's Tigers currently lead the all-time series against Ole Miss 65-42-4.

Tennessee is slowly gaining momentum for Trae Taylor's recruitment

Tennessee was one of the first schools Trae Taylor's father took him to when he was younger. The Tigers Quarterback coach Joey Halzle and offensive analyst coach Mitch Militello offered him after watching his film and the Vols right now are in his top 10.

"As a QB who wouldn’t want to play in an offense where you know they throw it around?" Taylor told SI. "Play in an amazing stadium, and home of Peyton Manning. The fan base has already shown a ton of love on social media. I have already seen the facilities multiple times so I know what that is.”

Traylor wants to see if he can connect with the Tennessee football program as a whole and if the school can develop him to be a first-round NFL draft pick.

“My biggest message is if this is the school I pick, just know I give my all to be great," Taylor added. "That will not change at Tennessee. So keep showing that Tennessee love and I’ll see you soon.”

Tennessee is yet to earn any commitment in its 2027 class, but it offered multiple quarterbacks besides Trae Tayer, including Trent Seaborn, Peyton Houston and Jayce Johnson.
