NBA legend Gilbert Arenas' daughter Hamiley Arenas had a hilarious reaction to her mother's Instagram post for her sister Izela Arenas. On Tuesday, Laura Govan made a heartfelt post for her elder daughter, a week after Izela turned 19. The "Basketball Wives" alum shared a carousel of funny, beautiful and wholesome pictures of the Louisville Cardinals guard.
The post included multiple snaps of Izela alone, with Laura, Hamiley, and both.
"She Was My Christmas Gift. My First Most Best Amazing Christmas Gift. She Gave Me Purpose, Belief and Faith. Faith that I didn’t Have She The Light I saw At The End Of The Tunnel. I Thank God For YOU Mija … Watching Grow Into The Young Lady You R Today is Always Celebrated … Although Your Birthday Is On The 24th Of December I celebrate YOU ALL year Around. My Twin My Love My Baby @izelaaarenas ❤️," Laura captioned the post.
While many, including Jerzy Robinson, Rick Robinson and Torrei Hart, left warm wishes for Izela, Hamiley Arenas put a request in the comments section.
"BRO DELETE THIS," she commented.
It seemed to be funny banter between the mother and her daughter. Since Hamiley was present in some of the pictures, she might not have liked something that was posted. But the younger daughter is likely faking jealousy for her elder sister in a comical way.
Arenas family reacts to Hamiley Arenas' outstanding performance
Hamiley Arenas, a ninth-grader and potential top recruit in the 2028 class, is already turning heads with her performance. The younger daughter of the three-time NBA All-Star bagged 30 points against Oceanside Pirated in the SoCal Holiday Prep Classic on Saturday.
The performance impressed Alijah Arenas, a five-star recruit from the 2026 class. He shared a story on her Instagram handle with a "🥶" emoji. Hamiley's mother went one step ahead and posted multiple clips from the game as she was in the stands cheering for her daughter.
"Another 30 piece huh!? 9th grade Huh!? A goat in the making. @hamileyarenas0 Leadership, sportsmanship, attitude, humility and confidence you Got it ALL Mija keep grinding … Only The Beginning… @hamileyarenas0 #ProudMom 🏀," Laura captioned the post.
