Four-star Luke Barnett had a record-breaking game when Mater Dei took on Hoover on Saturday, as the Monarchs dominated the Cardinals in a one-sided 99-35 win. The shooting guard broke not just a personal record during the win but also his school's scoring record.

The school's scoring record was previously 53, and Barnett had 55 points in the game. Barnett also broke Mater Dei's 3-point shooting record as he hit a total of 12 3-pointers during that dominating win. He also outscored the entire Hoover Cardinals team by himself, and this performance has gotten fans talking, but mostly about his looks.

"Bro looks like a 30 yr old," said one commenter.
"His kids are in the stands cheering hin on 😂," another commenter quipped.
"Everyone Cali just scores 50? Pretty normal last couple of weeks," a fan wrote.

Meanwhile, several commenters compared Luke Barnett to "High School Musical" character Troy Bolton, whom Zach Effron played. However, he was also compared to four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson.

"Red jersey ?? #14 ?? TROY BOLTON ??" a fan said.
"Troy Bolton going off," another fan wrote.
"Looking like klay thompson," another person pointed out.

Mater Dei now sits on a 10-3 record, while Hoover falls to 6-8. The win also means that the Monarchs have won six games by 35 points or more this season and are averaging 79.0 points per game.
