NBA great LeBron James’ wife, Savannah James, has shared her excitement after their son, Bryce James, announced his college decision. Bryce finally put an end to questions surrounding his future by committing to the University of Arizona.

The Sierra Canyon shooting guard announced his decision in a post on his Instagram account on New Year’s Day. Following his announcement, a host of basketball stars and celebrities congratulated Bryce, including his mother.

On her Instagram story on Wednesday, Savannah reshared a post of Bryce’s announcement with the caption:

"LFG!!! 💙❤️."

The story post comes after Savannah had earlier congratulated Bryce in a separate Instagram post, writing that he was reaping the reward of his hard work.

“So proud of you @_justbryce!! 💙❤️ Your silent hustle has definitely not gone unnoticed!! I’m so excited for you and I can’t wait to cheer you on through this journey! 🐻 Down! 💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️,” she posted.

Bryce is the second player from the Class of 2025 to commit to the Wildcats after top-25 prospect Dwayne Aristode signed with the school in October.

Bryce James snubs Ohio State after Arizona visit with Savannah James

Before he declared for Arizona, it was believed that Ohio State was leading the race for Bryce’s signature. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard was born in Ohio, which is also the home state of his father, LeBron James.

However, despite having Ohio roots, Arizona has always been in the picture after he visited the school with his mother. Bryce and Savannah visited the Wildcats in November, with the two posing for a picture at McKale Center, the home of the Wildcats.

That visit fueled speculation that Bryce would choose Arizona ahead of Ohio State, which is now a reality following his latest announcement.

Bryce’s Arizona commitment is also a stark contrast to his brother, Bronny James’ route. Bronny, who is on the same roster as LeBron James with the LA Lakers, played for USC for one year before being drafted by the Lakers.

It remains to be seen if Bryce James will also take the NBA route, but he will be eager to grow his game with the Wildcats, where he is likely to come up against BYU signee and No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2025, AJ Dybantsa.
