NBA legend LeBron James' sons, Bryce and Bronny, have been compared to one another and other players their age countless times. The question is, what do their stats say about who is the better player between them?
Bronny, whose real name is LeBron Raymone James Jr., stayed with Sierra Canyon his entire high school life and was a constant force for the Trailblazers. In his senior year, he averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game and was rated a four-star by 247Sports. He was also a McDonalds Alll-American.
The eldest James son eventually went to college and chose USC. He was a one-and-done for the Trojans, joining the LA Lakers to play with his father. He now plays for the G-League team, the South Bay Lakers.
Meanwhile, Bryce James may have started his high school life at Sierra Canyon, but soon left the school and bounced around with other schools, including Don Bosco, before landing at Sierra Canyon for his senior year. He is rated a three-star by 247Sports.
Bryce James missed much of his senior season, returning late last year. He did play in the Nike EYBL Peach Jam, though, playing for Strive For Greatness and averaging 6.9 ppg and 2.2 RPG. He had a 21-point, six-rebound game against eventual Peach Jam champions Nightrydas Elite, led by the twin sons of former LeBron teammate Carlos Boozer, Cameron and Cayden.
Bryce James' senior season is not yet over, so it would still be difficult to compare his with Bronny's, especially with Bryce missing so many games in his senior year.
Bryce James commits to Arizona
After months of speculation, Bryce James finally announced on Thursday he will be committing to the Arizona Wildcats. He chose the school over staying in Southern California with his family at USC and returning home to Ohio in Ohio State. He also received an offer from Duquesne, though that school was considered a long shot.
The Ohio State Buckeyes were considered the favorites to land the youngest son of LeBron James, especially with his connection to Ohio and not having an official offer from Arizona or USC. His decision to go with Arizona surprised many, though the school may be building a solid team next season.
Arizona is also a favorite to land Alijah Arenas, son of Arizona legend and former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas. Five-star Koa Peat, an Arizona native, is also considering the school.
