Bryce and Bronny James, sons of NBA great LeBron James, have some massive shoes to fill if they aim to truly carry their father’s legacy. While Bronny has made it to the NBA amidst severe backlash over his readiness, it's Bryce who is increasingly being seen as the true heir to LeBron’s basketball dominance.
The 6-foot-4 Sierra Canyon High School shooting guard gives glimpses of his father's brilliance with his smooth layups and strong presence in the paint. But on Tuesday, Bryce showcased another striking similarity to LeBron.
In a clip on Instagram, Bryce James can be seen perfectly imitating King James. The video was from a Nike EYBL event where Bryce and other high school athletes tried to imitate LeBron. Unsurprisingly, Bryce was the one who nailed it, perfectly mimicking the iconic line LeBron said during Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 22, 2015, between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Atlanta Hawks:
“C’mon man, it's too easy.”
Fans were quick to point out the uncanny resemblance in the comment section.
“Bryce should have been LeBron James Jr.," a fan said.
“Bryce sounds just like him," another fan wrote.
“Whoa Bryce too accurate," a fan commented.
Some even expressed they wanted more.
"We just didn't have enough," a fan wrote.
“Bryce looking at folks like Nawl Nawl, that ain't it," another fan chimed in.
One fan perfectly summed up the sentiment, declaring Bryce must be considered the ultimate inheritor of his father’s legacy:
“It's about damn time.”
Fans agree that Bryce is much closer to the NBA legend in play style as well as mannerism.
Not the first time Bryce James imitated LeBron James perfectly
Bryce James seems to be quite good at imitating his father. In July this year, Bryce recreated LeBron James’ famous "Smiling Through It All" pose. He posted a snap of himself posing just like his father did on his Instagram story, looking up with one hand on his forehead and soaking in all the sunlight.
"Smiling through it all! Can't believe this is my life.” Bryce captioned the story.
LeBron James originally posted the picture on his Instagram story back in 2018. Bryce’s perfect replication of the pose, which has become the subject of numerous memes, even garnered praise from his father. Posting a screenshot of the same story, LeBron replied with multiple laughing emojis, acknowledging the good work done by his son.
