Ohio State signee Devin Sanchez has hinted at his readiness for the next stage of his football career following the Buckeyes’ national championship triumph. The five-star cornerback signee shared a post on his X (formerly Twitter) page, prompting reactions from netizens, especially Ohio State fans.
He wrote:
“Now it’s my time the page has turned.”
One fan wrote:
“Okay Devin! Buckeye Nation has been waiting you!”
Another commented:
“Can’t wait to watch you play! Go Bucks!”
Other Ohio State fans, like Moonmadness, were keen to remind Sanchez that despite the national championship victory celebration, he should get ready to work. They wrote:
“Spring practice is only 6 weeks away. Enjoy the Championship but already time to get to work.”
Pat Sharp put this reminder in another way, as they wrote:
“Let’s go!!! Texas is up in 221 days.”
However, Ohio State fans were joined in the comment section of Devin Sanchez’s post by rival fans whose objective was quite different from theirs. For instance, Mason Graham Enjoyer wrote:
“Next in line to never beat Michigan.”
Another rival fan with the handle @pritchett62449 claimed that Oregon Ducks cornerback signee Na’eem Offord is a better player, commenting:
“Na’eem better.”
Devin Sanchez's recruitment in a nutshell
Devin Sanchez is one of the three five-star signees in the Ohio State 2025 recruiting class. The others are quarterback Tavien St. Clair and receiver Quincy Porter. Sanchez committed to the Buckeyes in January 2024 over offers from several top programs including Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma and LSU.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound cornerback from North Shore High School in Houston, Texas, is the No. 1 cornerback in his class, per the On3 Industry Ranking.
His speed has been recognized as one of his primary assets, holding a personal record of 10.8 seconds in the 100-meter. It is hardly surprising considering that he is also an accomplished track runner, leading North Shore’s 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams to regional finals.
