Rutgers freshman Dylan Harper was clutch when needed during last Saturday's game against Seton Hall. The son of former NBA champion Ron Harper sank the game-winning 3-point shot in the 66-63 victory.
BYU signee AJ Dybantsa, who is the No. 1 prospect from the Class of 2025, dropped a two-word reaction on Dylan Harper's Instagram post, which included a video of the game-winning shot.
"even kill," said AJ Dybantsa.
AJ Dybantsa often comments on Harper's Instagram posts, with the Rutgers guard also dropping a reaction when Dybantsa committed to BYU.
This was a big come-from-behind victory for Rutgers as Seton Hall led by as many as 10 points in the second half. The Scarlet Knights took the lead halfway through the second half. When Dylan Harper made that shot, the game was tied 63-63, with Harper bringing the ball up and sinking that pull-up dagger.
Harper finished the game with a game-high 24 points, 12 of which came from behind the arc. He is regarded as one of the most productive freshman players in the NCAA and is even considered a potential No. 1 draft pick for the 2025 NBA draft.
As for why he is a favorite to become the No. 1 draft pick next year, he leads all freshmen in scoring and is also the fourth-best scorer nationally among all college players. He averages 23.4 points per game.
ESPN analyst puts AJ Dybantsa over Dylan Harper in the 2025 NBA draft if he were eligible
ESPN's Jay Bilas boldly said that if AJ Dybantsa were already eligible to play in the NBA, which he isn't due to the league's age rules, he would be the first pick in the 2025 draft. He also stated that if the five-star prospect was born a year earlier, he would most likely be selected ahead of Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, and Ace Bailey.
Dybantsa said he wants to play for either the San Antonio Spurs or the Orlando Magic. He noted that he and Orlando All-Star Paolo Banchero would “go crazy together.”
Dybantsa would be eligible to play in the NBA in 2026 and he is already projected to be the No. 1 draft pick for that draft class.
