Gilbert Arenas' ex-girlfriend, Laura Govan, got some support from her fans on Instagram after she posted clips of her daughter Hamiley Arenas in action for Notre Dame Sherman Oaks on Sunday. They backed Govan after she was heard in one of the videos arguing with the referees after a noncall.
Govan yelled at the officials as Arenas blew past her defender:
"Yeah, got her foul. Where's the foul? Call the foul. Yeah. You see."
Arenas didn't mind the contact as she scored a midrange baseline floater with her right hand, much to her mother's delight. The ninth-grader showed her incredible talent, finishing with 30 points.
Fans praised Govan on social media for supporting Arenas vigorously while watching her game courtside.
"Call the foul!!!" one fan wrote.
"To hear my momma yelling for me with that much excitement would have me scoring 30 too!! Way to go Mom!!!" another chimed in.
"Lemme send this to my baby! She says I'm the only one who acts out in the stands! #MommaIsYo#1Fan," one fan replied.
"You raised them well," another commented.
"Ballin," one fan shared.
"I have goosebumps watching your kids. Absolutely phenomenal," another fan posted.
Laura Govan supports Hamiley Arenas' sister Izela Arenas in Louisville's game vs. Colorado
Apart from Hamiley Arenas, Laura Govan has another baller daughter with Gilbert Arenas.
Izela Arenas is a freshman with the Louisville Cardinals, and Govan recently showed up to watch her play against the Colorado Buffaloes. She shared videos of her daughter in action on Instagram, displaying the same intensity of cheering she showed while supporting Hamiley Arenas over the weekend.
Izela Arenas didn't disappoint her mother, scoring 11 points, grabbing three rebounds and dishing out two assists in Louisville's 79-71 win on Nov. 30. Arenas is averaging 4.7 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists through 11 games.
Arenas has scored in double figures in two of Louisville's first 13 games this season, including a 13-point outing in a 96-57 win over Grambling on Dec. 12. She delivered off the bench, shooting 5 of 8, including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc.
