Four-star wide receiver Adrian Wilson made his first visit to Boulder last weekend and ended up giving his pledge to Colorado's 2025 class. His pledge to Deion Sanders' program was made public ahead of its Saturday night game against Cincinnati, which the Buffaloes won 34-23.
Following the visit, Wilson shared a photo with Colorado’s assistant director of player personnel, Devin Rispress.
'I had a great time in Boulder this weekend, thank you @CoachJPhilCU@Coach2Bless and the rest of the staff for showing me what home truly feels like, can’t wait to be back for good in December. #SkoBuffs🦬 #WeHere🦬," Wilson wrote on X.
Wilson's recruitment journey saw him commit to TCU and Oregon before de-committing eventually. His most recent decommitment was from Arizona State on Wednesday, just days before his commitment to the Buffaloes.
Prior to the commitment announcement, On3's Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons anticipated Wilson's decision in favor of Colorado, as did a 247Sports Crystal Ball forecast that the Buffaloes were the most likely landing location. Given these projections, his decision was not wholly surprising, but it represents a huge victory for Colorado's 2025 class.
Wilson looks forward to contributing to Colorado’s offense, which has seen success under Sanders. This season, he has recorded 26 receptions for 601 yards and eight touchdowns, building on a strong 2023-24 season where he amassed 927 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.
The On3 Industry Rankings have Wilson as the No. 267 recruit in Texas, the No. 35 overall prospect in the nation, and the No. 38 wide receiver in the 2025 class.
Colorado's recruitment class update following Adrian Wilson's commitment
Adrian Wilson is the 10th committed player in Colorado's 2025 class, which ranks No. 64 in the nation and No. 15 in the Big 12. He joins four-star Quanell X Farrakhan Jr. in the wide receiver room, who committed in July over Alabama, Texas A&M and Nebraska.
Wilson follows Florida native and three-star defensive lineman Christian Hudson, who flipped from UCF to Sanders' school on Friday. The cycle now consists of five four-star prospects, including interior offensive lineman Chauncey Gooden, cornerback Alex Graham and safety Antonio Branch.
Colorado's 2025 cycle also features three-star prospects like tight end Corbin Laisure, tight end Zayne DeSouza, offensive tackle Jay Gardenhire-Crooks and linebacker Mantrez Walker.
