Johnny Jackson talks about cancer
Jackson was diagnosed with Stage 4B Hodgkin’s lymphoma in July and is undergoing 12 chemotherapies.
“Right when I got diagnosed, (doctors) were saying, ‘You’re going to do about five to six months of treatment,’” Jackson told Yahoo Sports after the game.
“Obviously, I’ve been going through so much for the past couple of months now. I’m definitely getting a little bit tired a little easier now, so I’ve got to be more swift and crafty with my moves, but I thought I did pretty well overall.”
Against St. Joseph, Johnny Jackson scored 14 points in the first half. Ridgewood will now face Riverside-Brookfield on Jan. 7.
