Duke signees Cayden and Cameron Boozer, the sons of former NBA player Carlos Boozer, continue to impress on and off the court. The Boozer twins secured a multi-year exclusive NIL deal with collectible company Leaf Trading Cards on Wednesday.
The deal was confirmed by the Instagram page of Leaf Trading cards and proud parents Carlos and his ex-wife CeCe took to the comments section to share their reaction to their sons' landmark NIL deal.
"So excited to see your first cards!" CeCe wrote.
"Can’t wait to see 🔥🔥🔥." Carlos commented
The twins talked about the deal with 247Sports:
"It's a blessing to be able to have an opportunity like this," Cameron Boozer said. "You know, it's something that a lot of people dream of..."To be able to see yourself on a card is just an amazing feeling. It's a blessing. And we grew up collecting our dad's cards too."
"It's a surreal feeling," Cayden Boozer said. "Just being aligned with athletes like Steph Curry, Giannis [Antetokounmpo], Patrick Mahomes, [Lionel] Messi, some of the greatest athletes in their respective sports.
"So, just being able to have a card and being in talks with those types of guys, it's just something you can't really explain. But it's such a surreal feeling, and I'm very blessed to be in the position that we're in."
The Boozer twins had plenty of interest from top programs across the nation. These included offers from Miami, Florida, Kentucky and Florida State. However, the twins chose their father's alma mater Duke on Oct. 11. Cameron Boozer spoke to On3 about choosing the Blue Devils:
“There’s great tradition at both schools so there was really no wrong answer," he said. "But I think what Duke has in terms of infrastructure they’ve built over the years and the amazing coaching staff they’ve put together made the difference for us.”
What is Cameron Boozer's NIL value?
The No. 2 prospect in the Class of 2025 also sits second in the High School Basketball NIL Rankings, according to On3. With a NIL value of $1.6 million, Boozer sits below AJ Dybantsa and above Darryn Peterson. He also ranks at the 40th spot in the NIL 100 rankings.
In a video posted by Bleacher Report in September, Cameron and Cayden Boozer talked about their dream NIL deals.
"Raising Canes or Popeyes or Crocs," Cameron said. (From 0:21)
"I'd say Crocs, Chipotle or like a Target. Target would be calm and Zara," Cayden said.
The Boozer twins will be accompanied by Shelton Henderson and Nikolas Khamenia on Jon Scheyer's team next season.
