Cameron Boozer and the Christopher Columbus High School Explorers are off to a hot start in the City of Palms Classic in Florida. Boozer was on song in their opening game of the 16-team bracket tournament and was even named player of the game in their win against Great Crossing.
It was a dominating 90-39 win for Columbus. This had Cameron Boozer's former NBA All-Star father, Carlos Boozer, reacting to the post with three fire emojis.
While Cameron was named the player of the game, the dominating victory was more of a team effort, with twin brother Cayden also shining, along with fellow NBA son Jaxon Richardson and fellow five-star Caleb Gaskins.
Cayden had 16 points and eight assists in the game, while Jaxon Richardson, son of former NBA star Jason Richardson, had 16 points, four rebounds, and two steals. Finally, Caleb Gaskins was one of the most efficient players on the floor, finishing with 18 points.
The Columbus Explorers have not lost a game since losing their season opener against Darryn Peterson and Prolific Prep in November. Their next opponents are No. 4 ranked 2026 prospect Caleb Holt and the Grayson High School Rams.

In their opening game, Caleb Holt's 20 points led the Grayson High School Rams to a dominating 96-55 victory over Central Catholic. On Friday, however, it was Grayson that got dominated when it ran into the Columbus Explorers. The final score was 85-48.
Cameron Boozer led the Explorers in that victory, with the No. 2 ranked prospect having an almost double-double of 22 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. Meanwhile, fellow NBA legacy Jaxon Richardson also shone, as he had 17 points, three rebounds and three assists.
Columbus will play IMG Academy in the 16-team bracket tournament next. It will be the battle of the five-star point guards in the City of Palms Classic semi-finals as Cayden Boozer will be facing off against Arkansas commit Darius Acuff at the One position. Acuff dropped 33 points, six assists and one steal to lead IMG Academy in a thriller against La Lumiere 78-75.
In the other bracket, Oak Ridge and Long Island Lutheran will be playing their quarterfinal game on Friday, while defending national champions Montverde Academy is just awaiting the winner of that game after beating Millennium.
