The No. 2 in the 2025 class, Cameron Boozer, is often in the headlines for his stellar performances. This time, it is his reaction to a commitment that has drawn attention. On Friday, Tipton Edits made an Instagram post featuring Caleb Wilson as the cover photo, along with a compilation of him scoring and maneuvering past the defenders smoothly and shared the news of his commitment to North Carolina.
Cameron Boozer reshared the post on his Instagram story and captioned it with three large eye emojis, showing interest and anticipation regarding the development.
According to On3, the five-star prospect chose the North Carolina Tar Heels over the Kentucky Wildcats on Thursday. Caleb Wilson is the overall No. 6 in the class of 2025 and No. 3 among the power forwards, per 247sport.
The 6-foot-9 player joined four-star combo guard Derek Dixon and four-star guard Isaiah Dennis, who both signed with UNC.
UNC Coach Hurbert Davis was a crucial factor in Wilson’s decision.
“Coach Hubert believes in his players," Wilson said (per On3). "You know, they don’t have the best record this year, although they went to the national championship a couple years ago, you expected them to be a little down this year, losing Armando (Bacot)."
You’re trying to adapt to a new style of play without a dominant big. I think this is good for them, and learning how to coach a team with speed and a new style could be beneficial to me also,” Wilson told On3.
