"Yessir family 🤞🏽🤞🏽@nik.khamenia," Boozer wrote on the story.

Both Cameron and Cayden Boozer won two gold medals for Team USA. Cayden Boozer was the assist leader for the USA in the U17 World Cup with 6.4 assists per contest. His brother, Cameron Boozer, was the MVP at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in 2023, averaging 16.8 ppg and 9.8 rpg and the FIBA U17 World Cup, averaging 20.1 ppg and 9.9 rpg.

Nikolas Khamenia shares this similarity with the Boozer twins as he also helped Team USA win the gold medal in the 2024 FIBA U18 Americas Championship, averaging 7.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3 assists. Furthermore, Nikolas Khamenia was also ranked seventh in his position and fifth in California.

He talked about his decision to join Duke over Gonzaga and UCLA with On3:

“I have been able to build a very good relationship with their staff, talking to them pretty often almost every other day," Khamenia said. "I have talked to coach Scheyer a lot and we have discussed what he sees out of me and how his program can help me develop and vise versa how he sees me being able to help them win more games and be a perfect fit in their culture."

Basketball Analyst faces backlash after bold prediction about Nikolas Khamenia

While it is hard to predict the commitment decision of an athlete before they reveal it, considering that a lot of thought is put into decisions like these. Even On3's recruitment prediction machine stated that the UCLA Bruins had an 86% chance of recruiting Khamenia, compared to the 2.6% prediction for the Duke Blue Devils.

Basketball analyst Trilly Donovan also received some backlash after thinking that Khamenia will not join them:

The Blue Devils Men's Basketball Team's social media team replied with a GIF:

However, with the recruitment, the Blue Devils are now ranked at the first spot in the 2025 recruiting class. Furthermore, they are the only program to receive commitments from three Top 30 recruits.
