MadeHoops will be hosting an Army National Guard basketball event called "The Main Event," featuring several top-tier high school basketball teams, including the twin sons of Carlos Boozer, Cameron and Cayden Boozer, along with Columbus Explorers. The event will take place from December 6-7 at Miami Dade College's Gibson Center Gymnasium.
The Boozer Twins and Columbus will play on both days of the event. To help hype up and promote the event, Cayden Boozer shared a poster of it on his Instagram Stories on Sunday, encouraging his followers to purchase tickets.
On day one of the Army National Guard: The Main Event, Colombus will face off against four-star small forward Jermaine O'Neal Jr. and Dynamic Prep. The game scheduled for 9:15 PM on Friday, will be the final matchup of the day. In addition to O'Neal Jr., Dynamic Preps features five-star center Jaden Toombs and three-star shooting guard Leroy Kelly.
For the second day of the Army National Guard: The Main Event, the Boozer Twins and the rest of the Explorers will face off against Washington DC's Gonzaga High School. The Eagles are considered the No. 1 team in its division and are expected to give the Explorers and all of its five-stars a run for its money.
The team is led by four-star North Carolina commit Derek Dixon, which means this will be a preview of what will happen when the Duke-North Carolina rivalry continues next year. He is backed by four-star Xavier commit Nyk Lewis and three-star Virginia Tech commit Christian Gurdak.
Other schools participating in the event include Oak Ridge, West Oaks, Westminster, Sagemont, Combine and So Cal Academy.
Other big matchups happening during the Army National Guard: The Main Event
The Columbus vs. Dynamic Prep game might be one of the most anticipated games during the Army National Guard: The Main Event, though there are other great games happening as well.
After taking on the Boozer Twins and Columbus, Dynamic Prep will face off against So Cal Academy, which is led by West Virginia commit Kelvin Odih and Minnesota commit Jacob Ross. Both of them are considered three-star prospects.
For its day one game, So Cal Academy will take on Riviera Prep, which is led by four-star power forward Jeremy Jenkins. He ranked No. 19 overall and the No. 4 ranked power forward from the Class of 2027.
