On Wednesday, Cayden Boozer, son of former NBA star Carlos Boozer, reacted to his nomination alongside his twin brother, Cameron, for the McDonald's All-American Games by sharing the announcement on his Instagram story with an appreciation emoji.

The announcement post, which was originally shared on the McDonald's All American Games official IG page, featured a total of 176 players on the boys' Eastern nominee list, alongside the nominees for the girls' list. The page also posted the Western boys and girls nominee list.
In total, 722 boys and girls were announced in the nominations, of which 24 boys and 24 girls will eventually be selected to participate.
The McDonald's All-American Games is an annual basketball event that features top high school basketball graduates from all over the country. The event is usually scheduled to take place after the conclusion of a high school basketball season. It usually entails a string of exhibition games played in an East vs. West format. It also features slam dunk contests and three-point shooting competitions.
The first edition of the McDonald's All-American Games was held in 1977, and over the past 45 years, it has featured legendary players like Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, LeBron James, Candace Parker, A'ja Wilson, and many others. This year, the event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, the first of April, at the Barclays Centre.
