Cayden and Cameron Boozer have not lost a game with the Columbus Explorers since they lost to Darryn Peterson and Prolific Prep in their opening contest last month. The twin sons of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer took to social media and hyped up their match against Edgewater on Wednesday.
The five-star twins and the rest of the Explorers will be taking on the Orlando, Florida team, the Edgewater Eagles, on their home court in Miami on Wednesday at 7:30 PM ET. As both Cayden and Cameron Boozer explained, all students can get in for free.
Columbus will be led by five-star Duke recruits, No. 2 ranked Cameron Boozer and No. 23 ranked Cayden Boozer. They are backed by five-star 2026 prospect Caleb Gaskins and four-star 2026 prospect Jaxon Richardson.
Cameron is a power forward and Cayden is a point guard, while both Gaskins and Richardson are small forwards.
The Explorers are still fresh off their big 82-61 victory against HEA last Monday, and the triple-overtime thriller against Gonzaga last Saturday. The team is expected to continue its six-game winning streak during the game against Edgewater on Wednesday.
After Edgewater, though, it will only get tougher as Columbus is scheduled to face powerhouse teams such as Kiyan Anthony and Long Island Lutheran on Dec. 28. Then, they will face Tyran Stokes and Notre Dame on Jan. 18.
After that, it will be a game against Koa Peat and Perry on Jan. 20, and then against defending national champions Montverde Academy on Jan. 24.
Cayden and Cameron Boozer get praised by future Duke Blue Devils teammate
Meanwhile, Nikolas Khamenia, a four-star Duke commit, sat down with Sloan from the "Sloan Knows" YouTube channel and talked about his future teammates, the Boozer Twins, praising their basketball prowess. The episode was released last Dec. 4.
"I think they have a lot of versatile guys and I think literally like that," he told Sloane. "Being able to pass, being able to dribble." (12:58)
"I mean yeah, they play super hard. They are super positive enery-wise," the Harvard Westlake small forward added. "I feel I can do just that." (13:08)
Cayden and Cameron Boozer chose Duke over Miami, with the twins announcing their decision last month. Their father, Carlos Boozer, won the 2001 NCAA national championship with the Blue Devils and their sons are hoping to continue his legacy at Durham.
