Some of the best teams from all over the country are competing at the Jordan Holiday Classic at New York City's Baruch College from Dec. 27-29. The event will also feature several NBA legacies, including Carmelo Anthony's son, Kiyan, and Carlos Boozer's twin sons, Cayden and Cameron.

Carlos Boozer, a former NBA All-Star, was also drumming up support for all three days, as his sons and the rest of the Christopher Columbus High School Explorers are competing on all three days of the annual basketball event. On Friday, he posted about the event on his Instagram Stories, with a poster featuring his sons.

The Boozer Twins will first take on the Bullis School Bulldogs on Friday. They will then take on a returning Kiyan Anthony and the Long Island Lutheran Crusaders on Saturday. They will end the event on Sunday against five-star power forward Chris Cenac, Andre Iguodala Jr. and the Link Academy Lions. This will be three straight games against the top teams of their respective states.

Carlos Boozer has supported his sons and been present for many of their games, including the preseason ones. As for the Boozer Twins, Cameron and Cayden have chosen to go to their father's alma mater, Duke University, next year.

Boozer Twins and Columbus vanquish Montverde Academy

Before heading to New York for the Jordan Holiday Classic, the Columbus Explorers were in their home state of Florida and participated in the City of Palms Classic's 16-team bracket tournament, which they won. However, they had a thriller in the final against defending national champion Montverde Academy.

Montverde Academy's Hudson Greer led the team with 18 points in Sunday's game, while Dante Allen added 12 points and six assists. However, it was not enough as Columbus escaped with a close two-point lead, 59–57.

This also snapped Montverde Academy's three-game winning streak, which is now down to an 8-2 record, which means it cannot replicate its undefeated national championship run last year.

Meanwhile, Columbus will enter the Jordan Holiday Classic with a 12-1 record. After the event, the team will open 2025 with a match against Riviera Prep on Jan. 10 and then Coral Park on Jan. 15. A rematch with Montverde Academy is also scheduled for Jan. 24.
