Kiyan Anthony, the son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony has launched a new merch as he continues to expand his clothing brand. Anthony launched his clothing brand ‘One Way’ in February 2023 as he continues to explore other opportunities outside basketball.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard, who has been growing his collection since launching, has now added a new collection, which he calls,
“SWAG IS MY SERENITY.”
This was revealed on Tuesday on One Way Clothing NY's Instagram page with the caption:
“SWAG IS MY SERENITY” BLACK THERMAL LONG SLEEVE.
The new merch drops on Jan. 16 at 3 PM Eastern Time (ET) with 75 pieces ready for shipping in the first three days of release. The shirt is a black tee which has ‘SWAG IS MY SERENITY’ on the front and a shiny design on the sleeves.
The ‘Swag is my Serenity’ merch comes after Anthony launched fresh colorways last year in New York. The Long Island Lutheran basketball star showcased it last year along with his One Way co-owner Jaydn Defense in a live video shoot.
Anthony still has big plans for the brand, saying he also hopes to collaborate with Canadian rapper Drake. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard revealed this in an interview which premiered on Overtime’s YouTube channel on Sept. 16, 2023
“If I could have anybody in One Way, I would probably put a rapper like Lil Baby or like Drake in some One Way, like on a stage. So I feel like one of those people had the brand on, it would definitely blow,” Kiyan said at the 19:09-19:31 mark of the interview.
Kiyan Anthony receives Carmelo Anthony’s blessings
Kiyan Anthony also has the blessings of his father, who praised his son for taking it upon himself to launch a clothing line without waiting for him or his mom.
“I’m proud of him that he took it upon himself to set up a little business for him and not wait for me or his mom to set it up. It’s like he really is doing it himself,” Carmelo said at the (00:09:59) of the same interview that aired on Overtime’s Youtube channel on Sept. 16, 2023.
It remains to be seen how far the brand can go, but Kiyan Anthony, the 2025 No. 35 prospect, seems to have big dreams for it as he prepares to follow in his father’s footsteps by playing college basketball at Syracuse.
