Kiyan Anthony, the prodigal son of top-10 all-time scorer and 10-time All-Star Carmelo Anthony, has quickly risen to the top of high school basketball and is preparing for his collegiate career. He is the No. 28 nationally ranked player in the class of 2025, known for his aggressive play.

The 6-foot-5 combo guard from Long Island Lutheran recently appeared on WNBA star Angel Reese's podcast, "Unapologetically Angel," which debuted on Thursday. He shared a glimpse of his basketball ambitions and openly talked about his family life and his college offers.

Interestingly, when Reese asked how he wants to be seen on the court, Kiyan Anthony came up with a genuine and straightforward response, offering fans a clear view of what drives him. But he didn’t settle on just one answer; instead, he named several things he wants to be known for the court.

The first thing is about his playing style. He wants to be the scorer for his team.

“On the court, I want to be just known for being like a bucket getter,” he said.

His comment perfectly syncs with his recent performance against Mac Irvin Fire in the EYBL Peach Jam tournament, where he posted a 40-point stunner.

But scoring isn't the only thing on his mind. Kiyan emphasized that he wants to be supportive of his teammates and assist them to succeed as well:

“Like winning, helping my teammates.”

He further commented on being an integral part of his team and his equal focus on individual prowess and team victories.

“Being a good teammate,” he asserted.

Lastly, he talked of creating an image based on character and leaving a positive mark on everyone he encounters. He wants to be someone his team can count on and trust.

“I don't. I don't want people to have nothing bad to say about me unless they just like hating," he said.

Kiyan Anthony is a No. 28 nationally ranked player, with over 21 colleges extending offers to him. Though he hasn’t made his final decision, he’s hinted at a few programs that are front-runners in his selection process. The Glen Head native has narrowed down the list to only three names.

Speaking on Angel Reese's podcast, Kiyan Anthony revealed that he will finalize the college within two weeks. When Reese further prodded him about his college choice, he revealed three names—Auburn, USC, and Syracuse.

Interestingly, according to ON3's prediction, Syracuse has about an 84.2% chance of signing the ace basketball player.
