Orlando Magic's point guard Anthony Black's brother Beckham Black has shown signs of being a top prospect in the Class of 2027. Black is a four-star recruit according to Rivals and a three-star recruit per On3.
In the Duncanville vs. North Crowley matchup, Beckham faced another top prospect, Isaak Hayes. Hayes has ranked in the Top 300 PG in the last three years, according to On3. YouTube channel TheoVisuals uploaded the highlights of the intense match.
The intense match, which had the two high-rated guards face each other, left fans unhappy due to officiating.
A fan noticed an error by the score-keepers and claimed that the scorers did not add the three points,
"Right after the half the score was 32-26. How is it he made a 3 and the score stayed the same cheating for Duncanville again. It’s getting old."
"Couldn’t make it anymore clear that ts is rigged for Duncanville. Somehow at the end of every big game (first legacy, then Allen, now north Crowle"y) the game always seems to end with bug getting a foul call. Not saying they not good, but everyone looks good when refs biased," this fan was frustrated and claimed that this has happened before," another commented.
"Bro They Wasn’t Calling Nothing For North Crowley And I Don’t Even Believe The Final Score North Crowley Probably Won By 4 They Should’ve Switched The Scoreboard Operator After The 6th Time They Didn’t Update The Score," commented a fan.
Other fans commented on the officiating but there was one fan who thought Duncanville deserved to win the game by even more points.
"Ngl neither team got a chance at state," commented a fan.
Another fan claimed that Duncanville should have won the game by double-digits: "Duncanville should of won that game by 15 they kept giving up leads but north Crowley is nice tho."
This fan noticed that the shot clock did not stop even when the ball was out of bounds:""mao why did the clock go from 3 sec to 1.3 while the ball was still out of bounds tho."
How good is Beckham Black?
The Class of 2027 recruit already has offers from the TCU Horned Frogs, USC Trojans, SMU Mustangs and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. 247Sports journalist Eric Rossi put him in his top seven players from 2027 to keep an eye on at USA Basketball's Final Four minicamp.
Rossi said that the 6-foot-2 Black is skillful with a competitive mindset. He's a great shooter, putting him ahead of other players at his age.
Do you think Beckham Black will be a five-star recruit in his senior year?
