Top 2025 basketball prospect Tounde Yessoufou will not be visiting Kentucky, Kansas, and UConn as planned. Yessoufou declared this in an exclusive with On3's Joe Tipton. The top-15 prospect who was scheduled to visit Kentucky on Oct. 11 and Kansas on Oct. 5 has revealed his options are now down to three schools.

No. 11 nationally, according to On3 Industry Ranking, he nears his commitment decision with just three schools left for consideration.

The three schools left on Yessoufou's list according to reports are Arizona State, Baylor, and USC. Arizona State joins the Bears and the Trojans as priority schools for him. The small forward from California is one of the most promising prospects of the 2025 class, ranking fourth nationally in his position. He's also the No. 3 prospect in California per On3 Industry Ranking.

Yessoufou's most recent campus visit was to Baylor in August. Prior to that, he visited USC in June and Arizona State in July.

Looking at Tounde Yessoufou's prospect

At 6-ft-5 tall and weighing 210 pounds, Tounde Yessoufou has quite a physique for his age. He possesses a versatility that gives him the defensive mastery over multiple positions. Here, his speed and ability to transition quickly from offense to defense defines his game. Yessoufou's ability to read the game and anticipate moves gives him the needed edge.

Offensively, Yessoufou knows how to get forward quickly, taking advantage of his fast pace.

In making his college decision, there are factors Yessoufou may consider. In Baylor's case, the main factor could be securing playing time, even as a freshman. "I like how they play freshmen," he said.

Tounde Yessoufou is equally impressed with how the program has been very competitive. "How much they win is very impressive," he explained to On3's Jamie Shaw (via Tipton). Ultimately, the way "they are always reaching out," would make any prospect feel really wanted.

For USC, the appeal is different. USC's main selling point to Yessoufou is the program's emphasis on preparing student-athletes for professional experience. As he puts it, the highlight of his interaction with Coach Eric Musselman is how he could make it to the NBA. He said Musselman "was able to give me some advice on how to make it to the league."

In 35 games for St Joseph HS in the 2023-24 season, Yessoufou recorded an average of 32.3 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.6 steals per game.
