Mills announced his pledge to the Sooners on July 1. He chose the Brent Venables-led side over other top programs such as Miami, Florida and LSU. Despite his pledge to Oklahoma, the Cornhuskers still pursued him prospect and came out on top.

SportsCenter NEXT shared the video of Mills flipping his commitment to Nebraska on its Instagram account on Sunday and it generated a lot of buzz among college football fans. The video raised conflicting opinions as some found it interesting, while others criticized the receiver's way of announcing his decision.
