Elite quarterback prospect Julian Lewis is set to make his last home appearance in high school football for Carrollton High School, Georgia. Lewis posted an image on X, which he captioned with a six-word farewell to his current team.

Lewis wrote:

“Last home game tonight! Forever grateful… @Carrollton_High”

Lewis will lead the Trojans out in front of their home fans for the last time in what has been an illustrious high school career. The 12-0 Trojans will face 11-1 Hillgrove in a playoff matchup. The Colorado commit was in the news last week when he flipped his commitment to the Buffaloes from USC.

However, that would not matter tonight as he tries to make his last dance in the Trojans’ color count for something in their title search.

He has had a massive presence for Carrollton this season with 217 completed passes of 284 attempts for 3,211 yards and 44 touchdowns. Lewis has amassed an additional 82 rushing yards and two touchdowns in 29 carries.

Although he reclassified to finish high school early, Lewis has compiled over 10,000 passing yards as a high school quarterback. This includes 4,118 yards from 283 completed passes for 48 touchdowns in 2022. He was named MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year for that feat.

The following season, the Colorado commit completed 186-of-280 pass attempts for 3,094 yards and 48 touchdowns.

His coach at Carrollton, Joey King once put Julian Lewis in the same category as Trevor Lawrence in an interview with ESPN.

“I've had the privilege of coaching Trevor Lawrence," King said. "He's in the same category as Trevor. The skill set and arm talent he has are definitely advanced for his age.”

Julian Lewis’ recruitment in a nutshell

Julian Lewis also impressed college scouts and raked in 37 scholarship offers, per 247Sports. He has offers from Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, USC, Indiana and other top programs. He committed to Lincoln Riley's USC Trojans in July 2023 and remained pledged to them until this month.

Lewis’ commitment to USC was not enough to deter other programs from recruiting him, and Colorado remained insistent. The Buffs even enlisted the help of their quarterback, Shedeur Sanders.

Shedeur is on his final lap with Colorado and took an active part in recruiting his heir designate, Lewis.

Julian Lewis has been projected to break into the starting quarterback role at Boulder next college football season. He will join a Buffs program that has greatly improved under Deion Sanders’ leadership.
