Antonio Cromartie Jr., four-time NFL Pro Bowler Antonio Cromartie's son, announced his commitment to Florida State on Monday, continuing his family’s connection with the Seminoles.
Cromartie Jr., a 5-foot-10, 160-pound cornerback in the Class of 2025, shared the news with a striking social media post, generating significant buzz among fans and athletes.
Colorado quarterback signee Julian Lewis, Cromartie Jr.'s former teammate at Carrollton High School (Georgia), expressed his approval with a one-word comment.
“Proud,” Lewis wrote.
Cromartie Jr. was excellent in his senior season, recording 85 tackles, four forced fumbles and an interception. He played alongside notable recruits, including Lewis and four-star safety Zelus Hicks, the No. 72 prospect in ESPN’s top 300, who has committed to Texas.
Initially overlooked by major programs, Cromartie Jr. received offers from Southeast Missouri State, UT Martin and Wofford before getting a Christmas Day offer from Florida State.
His official visit to the Seminoles solidified his decision, making him the 21st member of the program's 2025 recruiting class, ranked No. 36 in ESPN’s team rankings.
His commitment carries on the legacy of his father, who earned first-team All-ACC honors at Florida State before becoming a first round pick in the 2006 NFL draft.
QB duel looms at Colorado between Kaidon Salter and Julian Lewis
As Colorado prepares for next season with freshman QB Julian Lewis, Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter has addressed the upcoming competition for the starting role.
Speaking to WFAA, Salter made it clear that his focus is on performance, with no promises made regarding the position.
"No promises," Salter said on Jan. 4. "All competition, and I’m willing to come in and compete. "You know JuJu. He’s a younger guy, of course. So they (Colorado) wanted somebody in the room who could mentor him and help him come into college and feel comfortable. And I felt like I was that guy that could do that."
Salter, the 2023 Conference USA MVP, boasts 77 career touchdowns and brings a lot of experience to the table.
“I met JuJu at the Elite 11," Salter said. "I was an Elite 11 counselor this year. So I’ve met JuJu before, and I just recently met him again. (He’s a) very, very cool dude, and he’s a playmaker, one of the best quarterbacks, one of the best quarterbacks in his class."
Lewis, a five-star 2025 signee, reclassified from 2026 and is the No. 2 overall prospect, per ESPN. The Georgia standout recorded over 11,000 passing yards and 144 touchdowns in high school while maintaining a 3.75 GPA and graduating in just two and a half years.
