Quentin Gibson, a three-star wide receiver from North Crowley High School, had a terrific senior year. The 5-foot-8 athlete tallied 2,009 yards and 36 touchdowns on 93 receptions and was instrumental in the Panthers winning the state title this season.

Gibson had a fantastic championship game, catching seven passes for 181 yards and scoring three touchdowns. For his stellar performance, he was named the Offensive MVP of the game. The wide receiver's overall performance this season made him the first three-star prospect to win the prestigious MaxPreps National Player of the Year award.

He joined the likes of current NFL stars like Derrick Henry, Bryce Young and Kyler Murray. However, all of these athletes were rated higher than three-star. Gibson is the first player in the last 18 years to win this award as a three-star recruit.

Last year, the award went to the current Florida Gators quarterback, D.J. Lagway, who was a five-star recruit coming out of high school. He was ranked No. 3 in the country and was the best quarterback in his class, as per On3.

Quentin Gibson is ranked No.717 in the country and is the 117th-best wide receiver in the Class of 2025, according to On3. He's also the 102nd-best overall prospect from the state of Texas.

Quentin Gibson was part of the UA All-American Game on Jan. 2

The UA All-American Game is one of the best high school football events in the country. The game features some of the best prospects from the high school circuit and allows them to showcase their talent on national television.

This year, the game took place on Jan. 2, with players like Keelon Russell, Dakorien Moore and Na'eem Offord. Quentin Gibson, a three-star recruit from Fort Worth, Texas, was also present. He played for Team Unstoppable, which lost 31-19 against Team Icon, led by Keelon Russell.

The game also featured athletes from the Class of 2026, like Zion Lee and Jack Kreul. Both athletes had a great game. Lee finished the game with three sacks, while Kreul sacked the quarterback twice.

Quentin Gibson didn't play many snaps on Thursday, as he only had one catch for one yard. Although the three-star prospect didn't feature regularly, he had a terrific senior year with North Crowley, leading them to a state championship.
