The Oregon Ducks now have one of the best recruiting classes in 2025 after making some major moves on the early signing day on Wednesday, including flipping five-star-plus cornerback Na’eem Offord from Ohio State. The cycle also features another five-star-plus commit in wide receiver Dakorien Moore.
Oregon's 2025 class is now up to 21 prospects following Offord's commitment, and Moore expressed his own excitement with the move in a post on X, writing:
"LETTSSS GOOOOOOO!!!!"
Moore also tried to recruit several prospects on Wednesday. He sent out a message to four-star Michigan tight end commit Andrew Olesh.
"Waiting on you," Moore wrote.
Offord is the No. 12 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 3 cornerback in the 2025 class and the No. 1 prospect in Alabama, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.
Moore also tried to recruit five-star defensive end Jahkeem Stewart with a post on X.
"@Jahkeem2026 Yk where home is brudda🦆🤞🏾 #scoducks," Moore wrote.
Stewart ended up choosing USC instead of Oregon, but Moore's effort to boost his program deserves a loud clap.
Meanwhile, Dan Lanning's success in late recruiting also remains appreciable. Since 2022, except for Offord's flip, Lanning has landed multiple prospects on signing day or afterwards, including Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, Gatlin Bair, Daylen Austin, Jeremiah McClellan, Ryan Pellum, Jericho Johnson and Austin Novosad, among others.
Oregon's 2025 class looks promising with Dakorien Moore and multiple blue-chip prospects
Dakorien Moore committed to LSU last year before backing off his pledge in mid-May. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound prospect later committed to Dan Lanning's Oregon in July, choosing the school over Texas, LSU and Ohio State, among others.
Moore is the No. 4 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2025 class and the No. 1 recruit in Texas, according to ESPN. He has averaged 20 yards per reception while also catching 51 passes for 1,020 yards and 14 touchdowns in 11 games this season.
Dakorien Moore headlines a loaded Oregon wide receiver class that also features Dallas Wilson (No. 3 WR) and Cooper Perry (No. 18 WR). The Ducks are strong on defense as well, with commitments from blue-chip defensive backs, including Offord (No. 3 CB), Trey McNutt (No. 2 S), Brandon Finney (No. 5 CB) and Dorian Brew (No. 6 CB).
