West Coast Mater Dei running back Jordon Davison has been among the top available RBs in the 2025 recruiting class. The four-star prospect is now off the market, as he officially announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks’ 2025 class.

Davison's decision comes after his official visits to the Alabama Crimson Tide on May 31, the Michigan Wolverines on June 7 and Oregon on June 14. The Ohio State Buckeyes were the latest program to host him for a visit on June 21, and they were even predicted as the frontrunner in securing his pledge.

But Jordon Davison sensed his potential fit in Dan Lanning's program, as he explained in an interview with On3:

“They’re a team on rise. And I have a chance to play early over there and contribute to a national championship."

Davison raved about the atmosphere in Eugene, with Lanning also making a major impression on him:

"He is probably the coolest head coach I have met so far. He is for sure gonna win the national championship and he for sure is going to have the players and the coaches to do it.”

Despite the Buckeyes' keen eye on Davison, Ducks running back coach Ra’Shaad Samples was another crucial person who made the prospect feel like a priority in Oregon.

“My relationship with coach Samples is surely growing," Davison told Rivals. "He came in at the last minute of my recruitment, but he’s been nothing but great to me and my family. He has his whole plan of how he’s going to get me to the next level. To be that young and have all that experience, it’s truly an eye-opener."

Jordon Davison reportedly has one more official visit remaining, but the program's name hasn’t been disclosed yet.

What does Jordon Davison's commitment bring to the Ducks?

Friday has been a big day for the Ducks, as they secured the pledge of defensive lineman Josiah Sharma just minutes before Jordon Davison's commitment. Davison now joins four-star prospect Dierre Hill in the running back room.

Davison is listed as the No. 96 overall prospect in the nation, the No. 5 running back in the 2025 class and the No. 8 player in the state of California, according to the On3 Industry Ranking. 247 Sports lists him as the No. 199 overall prospect, No. 13 running back and the No. 16 player in the state.

Davison recorded 739 yards and 11 total touchdowns in his junior season, following a sophomore season which saw him record 1,585 yards and 17 touchdowns.

With Jordon Davison's pledge, Oregon is now up to 12 commitments for the 2025 recruiting class. The class includes several four-star prospects, including wide receivers Dallas Wilson, Cooper Perry and Isaiah Mozee, along with running back Dierre Hill, quarterback Akili Smith Jr., interior offensive lineman Ziyare Addison, linebacker Nasir Wyatt, edge rusher Matthew Johnson and cornerback Brandon Finney.

The 2025 class also features three-star recruits like offensive tackle Demetri Manning and defensive tackle Josiah Sharma.
